The eleventh volume of the anniversary collected works of Yuri Polyakov is an important stage in a literary project dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the prose writer. The publication includes new works by the author and the long-awaited continuation of the cycle "Soviet Childhood." This is profound memory prose, where the image of the country is recreated through the prism of personal memories. The period of the 1960s and 1970s—from school days to military service—is described with the stylistic brilliance, subtle irony, and documentary precision of details characteristic of Polyakov.


The continuation of the cycle of "memorial" prose by the famous Russian writer Yuri Polyakov about his Soviet past. On the pages of "The Prisoner of the Fifth Wave Breaker," we once again meet our long-time acquaintance, Moscow schoolboy Yura Polyakov. In the summer of 1969, he is vacationing "wild" with his relatives in the Abkhazian town of New Athos. The teenager awaits sunshine, sea, mountains, exciting underwater hunting, as well as a serious, very dangerous test of skill and courage devised by his local friends.

And in "School Windows," the famous writer Yuri Polyakov continues the fascinating story of the adventures of the Soviet schoolboy Yura Polyakov. This time, pioneer Yura, preparing to join the Komsomol, gets into a very serious predicament, facing law enforcement agencies.

The book includes works: the continuation of the cycle "Soviet Childhood" (the third and fourth books), "The Prisoner of the Fifth Wave Breaker," "School Windows."
