Heavenly Bread: Sermons on the Divine Liturgy

"In our Church, there are the hands of Christ, His lips and His eyes, there is also His Divine Heart. His hands are the rites of the Church, the language of Christ's lips is the Gospel, His eyes are the holy sacraments through which He looks into our souls. His Heart is the Divine Liturgy." These piercing words were spoken by the priest-martyr Seraphim (Zvezdinsky) in 1926-1927 in a small church of the Diveyevo Holy Trinity Monastery, at the grave of the venerable father Seraphim. At that time, they were heard only by a few sisters who had not left the monastery. Now we have the happiness to read these golden sermons, spoken from the fiery lips of the new martyr who loved the Church of Christ more than life, together with you and me.
Grant us, O God, the strength to comprehend the meaning of the greatest of Orthodox services and to fulfill the command of the holy author of this book: "Love the Divine Liturgy!"
