The Girl on the Ball

In Natalia Sukhinina's book "The Girl on the Ball," stories and tales are collected based on one criterion – they are all about women. About the complex female destinies, where there is room for joy, great love, losses, and gains. There is room for maternal heroism and its main purpose – self-sacrificing maternal love. The theme of women's destinies is inexhaustible, like life itself. Despite their uniqueness and individuality, there is something common in them that unites all women without exception. The necessity to balance in order to hold on. Some do this successfully because they are agile and not lazy. Some, in search of a reliable shoulder, weaken their tired muscles, while others slip away, accepting hopelessness as fate. We say fate – women's fate. For some, the pearls are too small, for others, the cabbage soup is too empty. Thus, the author wanted to unite in this collection the fates of those women who, despite the dissimilarity of their destinies, find it equally challenging to balance on the ball.
