Hygiene of Children and Adolescents with Fundamentals of Pediatrics: A Textbook

The textbook is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of secondary vocational education. The textbook presents the main historical stages of the development of hygiene for children and adolescents, modern hygienic principles of age periodization, methods for measuring physical development and determining a child's readiness for school enrollment. Issues concerning the health status of children and adolescents and their adaptation to educational organizations are considered. Hygienic requirements for the organization of the educational process in general secondary education institutions, as well as the peculiarities of organizing physical education, recreation, and health improvement for children and adolescents, as well as methods of hardening, are described. Issues of professional counseling and the organization of medical assistance to minors are highlighted. This textbook is intended for students of secondary vocational education institutions.
