2020. An infected mouse escapes from the Institute of Functional Immortality, where a means of prolonging Putin's life is being developed. An apocalypse occurs in Moscow: most of the city's residents die, some survive, while others turn into zombies. Now they can hardly see — but they run fast, hunt in packs, hear acutely, and have a very strong sense of smell. The heroes of the story are the survivors, who were caught by the apocalypse in different parts of Moscow. They do not know each other, but are moving in the same direction — towards where it is still possible to be saved.
