Tales in the Drawings of Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin

This collection is analogous to a convolution made from books with drawings by Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin. He created hundreds of illustrations for fairy tales - examples of Russian folklore and folk tales in the adaptations of A.S. Pushkin and A.S.... Roslavlev. Since 1902, the printing house of the Expedition for the Preparation of State Papers (EZGB) and its successor, the joint-stock company "Goznak", have repeatedly published and reprinted "Tales" with illustrations by I.Ya. Bilibin. The proposed book, in addition to the famous "Tales", includes "The Little Mermaid" by H.C. Andersen and "The Flying Carpet" from the collection of Arab tales "1001 Nights", illustrations for which were created by the artist during his emigration.
