Fatherland

The Fatherland was compiled by St. Ignatius (Brianchaninov) based on the texts of the "Prolog", "The Philokalia" and other instructive Christian works contained in Minya's "Patrology". The book contains edifying stories, tales from the lives of great Christian ascetics, predominantly Egyptians, who steadfastly walked towards God, as well as their soul-saving teachings.

The examples of life and self-denial of the great fathers and elders presented in this book help modern Christians to successfully pass through the path of earthly and laborious life and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
