Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker

Saint Nicholas is one of the most revered saints among the people, a "quick helper" and a "great miracle worker," as the Church lovingly calls the great servant of God. This publication contains a detailed account of the life and most famous miracles of Saint Nicholas, as well as the history of the transfer of his holy relics from Myra in Lycia to Bari.

The book is interesting in that the traditional content of the life is complemented by the history of the veneration of the great saint in Russia; numerous cases of the servant of God’s assistance during the trials faced by our Motherland are described. A separate chapter is devoted to the history of the most famous Russian monasteries dedicated to Saint Nicholas. The book concludes with a collection of works of folk art dedicated to Nicholas the Benefactor, describing the popular customs associated with the saint's name.
