Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon

The life of the great martyr Panteleimon shows us the true path to approaching and resembling God. God is not only great, glorious, and powerful. He is also merciful. And we call Saint Panteleimon "imitator of the Merciful." For he was merciful and wholeheartedly wanted to help people who were sick, suffering, and in need of his assistance. He dedicated himself entirely, as a free-of-charge physician, to people because he loved them.

The help of the great martyr to the sick surpassed the strength of earthly healing; he became a gracious physician.
