The book is dedicated to the life and work of one of the outstanding composers of the 20th century. The edition includes excerpts from memoirs, interviews, articles, and letters of Aram Khachaturian, as well as those of his contemporaries. The publication is richly illustrated. Most of the documents and photographs have never been published.

The unique design and extensive illustrative material make this anniversary edition one of a kind. The audio supplement includes excerpts from the ballets Gayane, Spartacus, Piano and Violin Concertos, as well as stories by A.I. Khachaturian about his compositions.
