Aristotle (384-322 BC) - an ancient Greek philosopher, student of Plato, tutor of Alexander the Great, founder of the Lyceum. He was the first thinker to create a comprehensive system of philosophy that encompassed all spheres of human development.

In his works, Aristotle summarizes the experience of the classical era of ancient Greek culture and achieves an unprecedented discipline of scientific thinking.
In the treatise "Rhetoric," he derived general laws of eloquence and created a theoretical doctrine on the principles of achieving beauty in ancient prose.
In the treatise "Poetics," dedicated to the theory of drama, Aristotle provides a general characterization of poetry and a clear definition of comedy and tragedy.
