Wild Fletcher

Kalle Fletcher was very small when her mother took her from Alaska to the civilized world of Toronto. The isolation and extreme temperatures were unbearable for the pilot's wife, accustomed to all the comforts of the big city. Now Kalle is twenty-six, and her father, who remained in Alaska, had long been her past that she feared to remember. But now it is time to make the difficult journey to the border town where she was once born.

Bad weather conditions, mosquitoes, short daylight hours, sky-high prices – this is what Kalle has to endure to get closer to her father. She is accompanied by Jona – a quiet and proud pilot who does not accept the foreigner at once, too delicate for life in extreme conditions. Unlike Kalle, Jona cannot imagine himself anywhere else on the planet and would never exchange the snowy mountains for anything else. He can't wait for the capricious girl to finally leave him alone and go where she belongs.

Maybe Jona is right, but Kalle is eager to bring him down. Time passes, and she realizes that she has become attached to the grumpy pilot. Now they share something like friendship or even something more, which neither can admit to themselves. After all, Kalle will return to Toronto, and Jona will stay in Alaska. It would be foolish to fall in love with a person you can never be with. Right?
