The Frontier of Elements. The Fall of Chains. Book Four

In the fourth and final book of the "Frontier of Elements" cycle, the heroes find themselves on the brink of the final battle. The armies of the Sebirans, led by Mik and Yart, the air fleet of Laska, and the unitarians on beast-fangs, headed by Yakh-Ola, are moving across the continent towards the capital. Their path is overshadowed by hunger, flames, destruction, pain, and fear — all of which strain the peace-loving Ruth, whose relationship with Mik is heated to the limit. In the Limit, the rebels meet no resistance: the city is empty. However, here the heroes finally encounter Kai and Barten and learn that Darina has been captured by the Air. The conflict between Mik and Kai ignites with new intensity, and Kai's guilt over the Sebiran massacre becomes unbearable. Despite their disagreements, they must join forces: free the prisoners and the Water itself; find those who have answered the call, hoping to find Riccardo among them and restore his consciousness; divert the attention of the Marten and her creature from the search for Darina at the High Temple.
