At the end of the 19th century, just like now, our compatriots sought to spend the summer in nature, in the fresh air, away from the urban hustle and bustle.

In the new collection by the famous satirist of the past century, Nikolai Alexandrovich Leikin, not only the traditions and realities of bygone days are depicted, but also things that never become outdated. 

It covers the difficulties of renting a dacha, the peculiarities of interacting with rural residents, the relationships among dacha-goers, as well as mushroom and fishing expeditions, folk beliefs, and, of course, the Russian soul — as vast and multifaceted as all of Russia.
