Where Oranges Ripen. A Humorous Description of the Journey of Nikolai Ivanovich and Glafira Semyonovna Ivanov along the Riviera and Italy

Glafira Semyonovna and Nikolai Ivanovich Ivanov are already seasoned travelers. Having had some adventures at the Paris exhibition, they set off to Italy: to see the "Pope" and to climb the fiery Mount Vesuvius (not yet knowing that a casino... in Monte Carlo awaits them on the way!). This time they were accompanied by the fruit merchant Ivan Kondratievich, who really does not understand what he is doing abroad and where he is at the moment. But like any Russian person, if he decides something, he will definitely have a drink. The travelers, amid adventures, transfer from train to train; they eat not what they want (afraid they might be served frog or turtle); yawning, they look around and constantly find themselves in hilariously funny situations due to their ignorance of the language and unwillingness to understand the customs and manners of Europe.
