Enchanted April

Lottie Wilkins and Rose Arbuthnot were not happy in their marriages. Both had almost resigned themselves to their fate, but one day in the "Times" they read an advertisement for the rental of a small medieval castle in Italy. The ladies decided to split the high rent four ways and found two more companions. Soon, leaving behind gloomy, rainy London, the four ladies set off for Italy. Surrounded by a wonderful garden, the castle had a magical effect on the women; there they suddenly realized how beautiful life can be and felt that they could and should be happy.
