Devil's Island

The inspector of the Norwegian police, Sara Geringen, is acquitted after spending a year in prison on charges of official misconduct. On the day she is to be released, she faces a new blow: her father is brutally murdered. Before... his death, he was tortured severely, his hands are mutilated, a key is found in his stomach, and the body is covered with a strange white powder.
 
Sara's police chief offers her the opportunity to search for the murderer. However, by law, in cases involving relatives, this is not permissible, and he formally appoints a young officer, Adrian Koll, to lead the investigation. This collaboration brings the first successes. Initiating Koll draws Sara's attention to important details, and soon they stumble upon an old mansion lost in the woods. From here begins Sara's challenging journey to uncover the horrifying family secret.
