Max initially «enters» the world of Echo through his dreams — his dreams become reality, and he finds himself embroiled in investigations of magical crimes. 

In this city, magic intertwines with bureaucracy and mysteries, and the main character has to face strange creatures, enchanted places, and ancient legends. 

The series combines elements of urban fantasy, magical detective stories, and metafiction — the story unfolds in a world where reality often intertwines with dreams, and Max lives on the border of two worlds.
