The Underdog

«It's always wrong to put on a leash», — wrote Yuri Koval in the story «The Underdog».

A young arctic fox escaped from its cage, the underdog. It was supposed to become the father of elite puppies with extraordinary platinum fur. But for some reason, it wanted to go north, to where the Northern Lights shine under the constellation Orion. Along the way, it encountered people and children. Each revealed themselves to the fullest, each made their choice — to return the fox to its cage or to set it free into a life of liberty. This story is a true hymn to the free and proud soul. And souls are not just found in arctic foxes.
