Rats Swim in Circles

Nastya is doing well: she is writing her dissertation and working with her husband at a biological institute. Many would not refuse such a life.
Yet at night, she dreams of swimming with rats in the laboratory tanks, desperately paddling with... her paws until she has strength left.
It turns out, Nastya did not want to enter the biology department — her mother decided for her. Her mother is no longer there, but her husband thinks her creative pursuits are a waste of time and money.
Nastya sees herself as a photographer, but the stopwatch beeps, and she must swim on — and so it goes on endlessly.
But perhaps, on the next lap of this relentless swim, Nastya will find her second wind and have the strength to say: ‘I don’t want this anymore!’
