York, 1899. A bookshop, lost among narrow streets, seems to slumber in the shadows of the past. Many years ago, it was opened by the town's lamplighter, but now customers rarely visit, and the shelves have long been covered in... dust. However, it is here that Evelyn Seton, the heiress of a noble yet bankrupt family, finds a job — and a new meaning in life.

With each passing day, thanks to Evelyn's efforts, the shop begins to come alive.
