The Path of Forgotten Souls

Trying to forget the past, Valeri moves to the wilderness with her young son, to the southeast of Oklahoma. Valeri is a widow of a ranger and a ranger herself. She needs a job, and here they offer a position:... in the densely forested Winding Stair Mountains, a national park called 'The Path of the Horse Thief' has opened. The name is not coincidental - what types have not hidden for about a hundred years in the local thickets and caves! But besides various criminals, children wandered through the forests... orphans stripped of guardians, runaway little miners from Indian territories full of oil and gold, young cotton pickers, and also little girls who were forced to wash and sew during the day and to please adult men in the evenings. One day, Valeri hears rumors about three children's skeletons discovered in a remote cave, but why does everyone - both colleagues and residents of the nearby towns - anxiously keep silent about this monstrous find?
