The Serpent and the Flower

Young Maya, the daughter of an Aztec chief, lives in her world, surrounded by the care and love of her family, engaged in her favorite activity, and cannot even imagine that all of this will one day come to an... end. When the conquistadors land on the shores of Tabasco, Maya's father, foreseeing the inevitability of war with them, sends his daughter to a more powerful and fortified city. Thus begin her journeys, full of fear, desperation, but, most importantly, hope.
 
The Spaniard Alejandro has not the slightest chance of resisting Maya's beauty. It seems there is a chasm between them, but he will do everything possible to be with her.
