Little Women

«Little Women» by Louisa May Alcott — this is a novel that has raised more than one generation of readers around the world. First published in 1868 in the USA, this work has been translated into more than 50 languages... and has been the basis for six films, four television series, several operas, and plays.
 
In the March family, four friendly but different sisters are growing up: romantic Meg, whimsical Jo, quiet Beth, and headstrong Amy. Together with their mother waiting for their father's return from the war, the girls go through a difficult path of growing up, encountering hardships and rewards, deadly dangers and selfless help, false guides and true friends.
