Spring. Haiku

Haiku is magical pictures, reproduced in verbal sketches. The classics of the genre urged not to describe but to name things in the simplest words, as if saying them for the first time.

A unique thematic collection of Japanese haiku poetry has been prepared by the famous Russian researcher and translator, professor of Japanese literature at HSE University and distinguished professor of Akita International University Alexander Dolin, who lived and worked for many years in the Land of the Rising Sun.

The book includes masterpieces from the best haiku poets, the greatest poets of the Middle Ages and the Silver Age.

"Spring" is the first book that opens the four-volume collection of landscape lyricism "Japanese Seasons".
