How far can one go to protect those who are dear to you?

Mr. Yunhwan is used to living by his own rules: school, side jobs, sleep — and no unnecessary relationships. He has long realized that caring for others only brings pain, and therefore keeps everyone at a distance. When one day Ji Naru — a quiet classmate whom everyone ignores — appears in the store where Yunhwan works, his cold confidence begins to crack. Ji Naru is not afraid of Yunhwan's prickly nature and continues to come, despite his aloofness. The closer they become, the clearer he understands: behind Naru's smile lies her sadness. However, Yunhwan himself hides a dark tragic past. 

What will turn out to be scarier — to open up and experience betrayal again or to remain alone forever?
