100 Great Conquerors of Space

The idea of human spaceflight and the overall exploration of space originated in ancient times, primarily through the spiritual understanding of the cosmos by humans. Initially, it was embodied in artistic and religious images, then it was formed at the level of philosophical and theoretical consciousness, and finally, it took on concrete scientific and technical outlines. Humans first mastered lighter-than-air and flying vehicles, and later spacecraft and orbital stations, with an enormous amount of scientific and engineering work behind each even minor achievement.
This book in the series tells about one hundred outstanding space pioneers - theoretical scientists, designers, and cosmonauts.
