The Carthaginian merchant Baalaton has always wanted to sell fantastic creatures. He sets off in search of the Dragon Stone, the reward for which will help fulfill his dream. However, he finds not only it but also a beautiful wild... woman whom he takes with him. The price for the treasure is high — Baalaton falls ill with a strange disease.
His face becomes covered with scales, and serpent voices echo in his head. But no one is able to help him. Meanwhile, bad rumors crawl through the streets of Carthage. The city freezes in anticipation of its own end, prophecies resound, dark sorcery is at work. 
Will Baalaton be able to avoid the metamorphosis of his soul and body? Is he ready to sacrifice the life of the mysterious wild woman for his own purposes? But most importantly — will he manage to preserve his humanity?
