Moscow, 1952. On a remote road in the Moscow region, a wrecked "Emka" is found with two bodies. It seems like a routine traffic accident — but a blow from a hammer to the back of the head leaves no... doubt: this is murder. And most importantly — the briefcase of the deputy head of the secret laboratory has disappeared, containing a report on uranium deposits.
 
The investigation is assigned to Major of State Security Ivan Shipov, nicknamed "Ship" — a true lone wolf with a sharp instinct for betrayal. Seasoned in ambushes and shootouts, he lives only for the hunt: for spies and saboteurs. An ordinary traffic accident on the highway turns into a web of intrigues, and a stolen green "Opel," sunk in an abandoned quarry, leads to an enemy sabotage group.
