Black Raven

On a cold January morning, the Shetland Islands are covered with a thick layer of snow. On the way home, Fran Hunter notices a spot of crimson on the frozen ground, over which crows are circling. There, in the snow,... lies the body of young Catherine Ross with pecked-out eyes, and a red scarf is tightly wound around her neck…
 
The locals' suspicion immediately falls on the lonely old man Magnus Tate, who had already been accused of the girl's murder eight years ago. For everyone in the police, the case is closed, but not for Detective Jimmy Perez, who has recently returned to the islands. He is completely convinced that the old man is innocent and that this case is much more complicated than it seems at first glance.
 
For the first time in many years, residents nervously lock their doors, as the killer is somewhere nearby. Or maybe he even lives next door…
