Entering the hallway, DAINEKA noticed that a bright light was on in the entrance of the neighboring apartment where her friend lived. DAINEKA swung open the door and stumbled upon NINA, lying at the threshold. Around her spread a red puddle, resembling wine… Once, NINA had spoken of treasures inherited from an ancestor – a gold mine owner. A leather box was filled with jewels, more than halfway: antique necklaces, bracelets adorned with emeralds and sapphires, rings, pearls. Now the safe that held the box turned out to be empty…
