The Secret of Count Oderly

England, 1779. Darkton Hall — a gloomy estate, lost in the foggy lands of Hampshire, where servants are not eager to work. Too many have disappeared, too many secrets.

But it is there that Louisa Le Clerc goes — under a false name, with a fabricated story and the determination to uncover the truth. She is the eyes and ears of her patron, who sent her to find out who Count Oderly is, where he disappeared for two years, and if he is really responsible for a series of unsolved murders.
