My Pushkin

Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva (1892—1941) — a great Russian poetess, prose writer, and translator.

A. S. Pushkin was for Marina Tsvetaeva not just a beloved poet, but a spiritual guide and ideal. The essay «My Pushkin» (1937) — is a deeply personal story about how Pushkin entered her life, how he shaped her poetic worldview, and how he influenced her fate.

«My Pushkin» — is an attempt by Tsvetaeva to understand and reveal the genius of the poet through the prism of her own experience. Tsvetaeva speaks not so much about Pushkin, but about herself through Pushkin.
