Josephus Flavius. Historian and Society

This book is more a reinterpretation of the history of Joseph than a general introduction to the work of the author or the history of Palestine in the 1st century AD. Nevertheless, it is intended for both readers who are not specialists in this period and for specialists. The arguments are supported by documents, the source texts are translated into English, and unfamiliar concepts, whether Greek, Roman, or Jewish, are explained. Individual Greek, Ancient Hebrew, and Aramaic words are transliterated according to a simple, most often phonetic principle.
