Looking for Alaska

No one, except for his own parents, is interested in the skinny geek Miles Halter, who embarks on a romantic quest for the unknown but definitely Great ‘Perhaps’. He moves to a private boarding school where real life begins: cigarettes and wine, the beautiful Alaska and the busty Lara, reliable friends and incessantly annoying enemies, where new ideas and feelings are in the air, where it is frighteningly hot but one can breathe deeply, where fear nips at the heels — the fear of punishment for disobeying the rules — and drives forward love and the thirst for happiness.
And with this happiness, he manages to touch it, but only for a moment, after which he must, barely having taken flight, step into adult life.
