Intern of the Mirror Investigation

Kreshchensk, 1893. Yesterday's studious Mitya Demidov becomes an intern in the Mirror Department, which monitors order in a provincial town beyond the Ural Mountains and investigates crimes involving witchcraft.

From his beloved Varenka, Mitya learns that someone has planted a cursed doll on her friend. Fearing that Varya may be the next victim, the intern begins his search and soon tracks down an old witch.

However, this is just the beginning of a series of witch-related incidents in Kreshchensk. Soon, Varenka herself finds herself suspected of murder. Mitya, not doubting for a moment the girl's innocence, continues the investigation. And he has to face vengeful ghosts, intrigues of Mirror mages, and betrayal among colleagues…
