Friend of Special Purpose

A lonely and poor middle-aged girl, Varvara Lapteva, lived a bleak life. It seemed that everything good in life passed her by. The management at work considered her an utter fool, and Varvara had long given up on herself. But, evidently, not entirely… A series of strange events disrupts her usual routine. In the boss's office, a visitor suddenly dies. Varvara — is the first person who sees him dead. At the same time, a plastic card, which holds a staggering — half a million Swiss francs, disappears from the office! And Varvara is being pursued by unknown individuals who are convinced that she is the one who stole this money. Of course, she is innocent. But then who?..
