Beyond. The Estate

The main character of the novel «Beyond» is Jip — a charming young lady who loves fox hunting, horse racing, and music. After meeting the virtuoso violinist Fiorsen, the girl falls in love with his extraordinary talent and, against her father's will, marries the musician. It is too late when she realizes that love for art and love for its creator — are completely different things. The action of the novel «The Estate» takes place in the late 19th century in a family of British aristocrats. After the heir to the family becomes obsessed with gambling and gets involved with a married woman, the head of the family contemplates disinheriting his firstborn. However, according to the law, the family estate still has to pass to him…
