Jump into the Void

Alexander Belyaev (1884—1942) — a classic of domestic science fiction.

His novel «Jump into the Void» tells the story of engineer Tsander creating the ship «Noah's Ark» for travel to distant planets of the Solar System, to escape from the impending revolutionary upheavals on Earth. On the ship, two opposing camps emerge: the «plebs» (crew and servants) and the «passengers» (the wealthy elite). The «plebs» organize a farming enterprise to ensure their survival and prepare for a possible return to Earth, while the «passengers» plan to subjugate them.
