Investigating the mysterious disappearances of clients must be done secretly. The corporation sends Marcus into an alchemical trip-simulation with a maximum risk factor — he becomes an Italian black magician of the 16th century, gains magical powers through a magical grimoire, and battles powerful Venetian magicians.

It soon becomes clear that not only his life is in danger, but his soul as well. But Marcus is already on the trail — and his boss, Admiral-Bishop Lomas, decides to continue the investigation.
