About Cats and the Sea

In the third grade of the new school, quiet and reserved Xiaozhong sits at her desk, and in front of her already sits Kewey – a girl with thick, beautiful hair. As if unconsciously, Xiaozhong reaches for her ponytail… Thus begins a friendship between two completely different children in character. Together they start drawing manga – about something that cannot be expressed in words. Their story grows and complicates, giving rise to "Whispers of the Sea" – Kewey's personal project, which remains a secret even to those around. What lies within its pages? An attempt to understand oneself? Or an escape from reality?
