Tender is the Night

This story begins in the roaring twenties on the French Riviera, where the family of a talented psychiatrist from America is vacationing. They are loved, charming, rich – and happy. At least, that’s what the young actress, in love with the doctor, thinks until she hears the inhuman howls coming from the bathroom.

And the doctor, married to a patient, thinks about how with every "correct" step, he moves further away from something infinitely important.
