1975. A train preparing to depart from Yaroslavsky Station is attached to a postal car filled with... valuable international parcels. Four postal workers are accompanying the cargo, including a newcomer — Lenyka Sedykh. Suddenly, demobilized soldiers approach the crew leader asking to take them as passengers: they have spent all their money and have no way to buy tickets. The crew leader agrees to help the veterans... At the next station, the police are urgently called to the train. The arriving officers saw something that shocked them with its brutality: the car had been looted, and the postal workers had been killed. The severely wounded Lenyka managed to pass a strange message to the investigator, which became the only clue in this bloody case…
