Plato — a great ancient philosopher who had a profound impact on the history of the human spirit. It is with him that the formation of scientific thinking in the strict sense of the word begins. The reader is presented with the most famous dialogues of Plato, in which three major themes are explored: the nature of philosophical knowledge, the ethical doctrine in connection with the proofs of the immortality of the soul, and love as a force that directs a person towards knowledge and makes him godlike.
