Who needs love when there is cheese? On the brink of her thirties, Ella was expecting a marriage proposal from the man she had been happy with for eight years, but instead heard only «we need to break up». In... despair, she buys a one-way ticket to Paris, embarking on a pilgrimage to the most romantic city in the world, the mecca of exquisite gastronomy and endless joys of life. Here, on the wonderful streets, she finds what she had longed for — a little shop with the best cheese in the world. She also falls in love with a restaurant critic, suffers a setback while working as a barista, and makes a fateful cheese bet. But one day, charming Paris will play a cruel joke on Ella, and she will need to decide what — or perhaps who — her heart truly longs for.
