Geography

Strabo (63 BC – 23 AD) — an ancient geographer, historian, and philosopher of the Roman Republic era.

Born in Asia Minor; after traveling through Greece, Asia Minor, Italy, and Egypt, by the end of his life he created a fundamental treatise that allows him to be considered the "father of geography".

Strabo's "Geography" is an outstanding work in which, based on the personal impressions of the traveler and the works of his predecessors, the lands of the ancient Oikoumene during the Hellenistic period are described.
