About Fyodor the Archer, the Daring Young Man

Leonid Alekseevich Filatov (1946–2003) — actor and film director, poet, playwright, People's Artist of the Russian Federation. His witty play "About Fyodor the Archer, the Daring Young Man," written based on Russian fairy tales, gained immense popularity. Fyodor is the... embodiment of folk wisdom, who in his adventures encounters the whims and tyranny of the king but invariably finds a way out thanks to his resourcefulness and belief in justice. The TV version was shown on Soviet television in 1991. The collection also includes other plays ("Love for Three Oranges," "Lysistrata," "The Disturber of the Peace," "Once Again About the Naked King"), poetic parodies of famous poets, a cycle of songs for plays and films, and the prose "Sukinskie Children."
