In 1928, the great ballerina Anna Pavlova, while on tour in India, received a gift from the wealthiest Maharani: an ancient ornament with a huge ruby. The gem once belonged to a celebrated temple dancer. A few years later, the pendant with the stone was stolen and vanished without a trace. At the beginning of the twenty-first century, its bloody trail emerged.
