Welcome to Florence, 1517 — a world of luxury and intrigue, hypocrisy and betrayal. Seventeen-year-old con artist Rosa Cellini arrives in the city on the same day that Pope Medici, Leo X, returns to take control. It is no coincidence. The new Pope extorts huge sums from the residents of Florence for indulgences to strengthen his power and position, and Rosa has a plan to take the money for herself.
To pull off the greatest heist of the Renaissance, she assembles a team of high-class misfits: Sarra the master, Khalid the fighter, and Giacomo, the restless master of disguise. She even seeks the help of the famous artist Michelangelo. However, what started as a robbery could become the key to saving the city itself — if Rosa and her crew don’t destroy each other first.
