In a cheap drinking establishment, two meet: Santiago Zavala, son of wealthy Peruvian bourgeois Fermín Zavala, and the Black Ambrosio, who once worked for them as a driver. Former master and servant; once they were separated by a chasm, and today they have come together in a shabby eatery with the pretentious name "Cathedral." Should we be surprised? After all, they live in a country of equal opportunities, where everyone has a chance – a chance to fall off the edge of life. By their own will or by the will of the wicked fate…
